Use Different Levels of Headings to Structure Your Content

It is important to structure your content well so that your readers can easily scan and understand it. Using nested headings can really help.

  1. Maybe your list is about steps or a heirarcy
  2. In that case, use an ordered list
    1. Both kinds of lists can nest

    3. Kind of like an outline!

Headings Go All the Way From 1 to 6

H1 should not be used by you, an H1 Is reserved for the title of your post or page, and that is included automatically.

H2 should be the heading you use to break down your post or page content into larger chunks.

H3 is a sub heading to further break down your structure.

H4: It’s unlikely you will often get much past an H3

H5: But H2 – H6 are all available to you should you need them
