Phil. 1:9-10

Does anyone else get excited reading the Greek definition of words!!!

Phil. 1:9-10 And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in real “knowledge” and all discernment, so that you may approve the things that are excellent, in order to be sincere and blameless until the day of Christ. (NASB)

Knowledge – “epignosis – clear and exact knowledge. It is more intentional than gnosis, because it expresses a more thorough participation in the object of knowledge on the part of the knowing subject . When used as an object it evinces the relation of the person knowing to the object of his knowledge. It affects the religions blessings possessed by the subject and determines the manifestations of the religious life.” Spiros Zodhiates, Th.D.

To know Him… those words are like breath to me. And each day in every situation and circumstance that knowledge can bring us the breath we need. Even Paul understood this truth and wrote on in Phil. 1:12 Now I want you to know brethren, that my new circumstances (imprisonment) have turned out for the greater progress of the gospel. Paul wasn’t looking for a change in circumstances, he was looking to know the One in every twist and turn of life!
